Meet the Staff:
After a brief stint in the private sector, Sean Fitzgerald is back as Chairman Kaufman's Chief of Staff. He was previously Senator Charlie Shannon's Chief of Staff, and before that worked as the Communications Director for Somerville Mayor Dorothy Kelly Gay. Over 20 years, he has also served as a campaign manager, statewide field & finance director, and media & message development strategist. Sean holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Northeastern University and resides in Somerville. He enjoys running, hiking and spending time with his wife and two children. Charlie Ticotsky, Legislative Aide to Chairman Kaufman, was born and raised in Lexington, MA and graduated from Bowdoin College in 2007 where he studied Government and Legal Studies and Economics. He also studied abroad in Ireland for a semester. Charlie has been involved in national, state-wide, and local political campaigns, and enjoys playing and watching sports (especially baseball), listening to and playing music, and cooking. Originally from Pennsylvania, Patrick Charles moved to Massachusetts 6 years ago, after completing his undergraduate studies at Elizabethtown College, to attend Northeastern University School of Law. After graduating from law school in 2004, he joined Representative Kaufman's staff in the summer of 2005 as the General Counsel, and now also holds the title Research Director.
The newest member to the committee staff is Jacob Baker. Before coming to the committee, Jacob was a legislative aide for Boston City Councilor Sam Yoon, handling everything from policy to constituent services. Karin Wall has been working in The State House for the past 10 years. She resides in Lynn with her husband Tom and has a grown daughter and son as well as 2 grandsons. In her spare time, Karin enjoys playing with her grandsons and doing all kinds of dance.
