“Donnelly, Kaufman, Dwyer Return, Senator Barrett Takes Over”
Representative Jay Kaufman’s award winning public policy forum, “OPEN HOUSE”, welcomes the State House delegation representing Lexington & Woburn, municipalities that make up the newly-configured 15th Middlesex House District. This forum, the sixth of the 18th season will be held Thursday, February 21st, from 7:00PM-8:30PM at the historic Depot in Lexington Center (13 Depot Square in Lexington Center).
Representative Kaufman, (D-Lexington) who was first elected in 1994, now represents all of Lexington and Wards 1 & 7 of the City of Woburn. Senator Kenneth Donnelly, (D-Arlington) who was first elected to the Massachusetts Senate in 2009, serves Arlington, Billerica, Burlington, Woburn, and parts of Lexington. Senator Michael Barrett (D-Lexington) who previously served in both the House of Representatives & the Massachusetts State Senate was re-elected in 2012 after 18 years in the private sector to replace retiring Senator Susan Fargo. His district encompasses Bedford, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Lincoln, Waltham, Weston, and parts of Lexington and Sudbury. Rounding out the delegation is Representative James Dwyer, (D-Woburn) elected in 2008 and representing parts of Reading and Woburn.
How does the delegation work together to address the concerns of the district and the Commonwealth at large? How vital is teamwork in assisting constituents attempting to navigate the red-tape of governmental bureaucracy? What are the important issues that face the delegation in this upcoming two-year Legislative Session? How do you measure effectiveness of your Senator and Representative?
Find out the answers to these questions and bring your own. Don’t miss this forum Thursday, February 21st, from 7PM-8:30PM.
